Detoxify your face

Toxins are everywhere. They are in the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the pollution that surrounds us every day. Our bodies are pretty good at eliminating some of these toxins, but sometimes we need a little boost.

For many of us, our faces are the most affected by the bad toxins around us, but never fear because there are some ideas on how to fight bad things and detoxify your face, naturally.

The first thing is water, water, water. It seems that you can never have enough and the more you drink it, the better your skin will be. This is because it helps your body get rid of waste, plumps up your skin, helps all body systems work better, and is easy to use. If you don’t like plain water, add a little cucumber or lemon for a treat that is most useful for your face. Drinking green tea with lemon or ginger throughout the day is also a great way to flush out some of those pesky toxins.

Are you getting enough fiber in your diet? If not, get a little more in yourself and fast. Fiber is a great thing to add to your diet and you can get it from nuts, oatmeal, musli, and many other things. Keep that body moving and add this great ingredient throughout the day.

If you like makeup, you may want to do it a little more naturally. This means staying away from things that include parabens or preservatives and chemicals as they will add toxins to your system. Instead, try making your own creams with oils like chia, thistle, or jojoba and adding detoxifying essential oils like tea tree and eucalyptus to create your own detoxifying energy house.

It’s also a great idea to steam your face before proceeding with any facial treatment. Just steam for eight to ten minutes to purify your pores and remove excess water. This will ensure a good base for your facial.

Toxins make our faces flare, red and have dry spots, but of course there are many ways to counteract their effects. While we can’t get away from toxins, we certainly can do a lot to help our bodies eliminate them as quickly as possible. It’s all in diet, exercise, and of course, water!
