Double DIN Review – JVC KW-XR810

I have an Alpine CD player in my other car, and I also had a Pioneer and Kenwood CD player in my previous cars. Therefore, he had experimented with various car sound systems and configured many others. I went through the double din products to replace my Nissan Maxima with Bose, which is my usual driver, and it has no other sound improvements. I finally settled on this because it has all the features I was looking for, without looking flashy and mostly combining colors for a more ordinary look. I first loved the cost because of the great benefits that come with this device; iPod integration, multiple auxiliary inputs, multiple colors to choose from to suit your interior, and the ability to modify sound settings.

My expectations were dashed after installing the unit. It is really an amazing head unit. The sound quality is outstanding. Sounds 10x better than my factory Bose H/U and also on factory Bose amps and speakers. I’m planning to buy a JVC car stereo unit, but I didn’t expect it to be this good. Other consumers are 100 percent accurate and said it’s a good head unit. You can’t go wrong choosing this product. Playing the iPod with the unit is easy and not slow as I have read in some reviews, it is very easy to use and changes tracks easily. If your iPod is fully charged, it may take a little longer for the product to scan the file structure. However, you should still have things divided into playlists or tagged appropriately to help you sort by artist, album, or title.

One negative comment I could think of is that the remote is very small. I don’t even use it because it looks like a toy. However, you could possibly get another styling unit or incorporate your factory steering wheel controls because it comes with a socket for your adapter. The plastic on the front of the product is very shiny and your fingerprints can be easily seen, but I don’t see them. My other comment is that if you are setting up the amps with this head unit the preout voltage on the RCAs is 2.5V which is very low and you may need to compensate for this on the amp by increasing the input gain if can, or maybe use line drivers.

Having an amazing price on Amazon, I’m not sure how you could look for a much better head unit. Get one now!
