April 2, 2021 0 Comments

This is a list of many vegetables and some fruits that you can feed to your plecs. Some suggestions for weighing vegetables in the tank are also included.

IMPORTANT

1. Make sure you have an ID from your plec to make sure the correct dietary needs are being met.

2. A varied diet of vegetables + fruits is needed for nutritional needs to be met.

3. Be sure to include seaweed, meat and wood wafers depending on the plec species.

4. If you put on something that contains the skin or rind, be sure to rub it in first to remove the pesticides.

START LIST

This is a list of vegetables and fruits that are popular with most plecs. Zucchini / Zucchini Cucumber Peas (shelled) Sweet Potato Green Beans Melon / Melon rind

OTHER VEGETABLES AND FRUITS

Apple (does not seem to be very popular) Asparagus Aubergine / Aubergine Avocado Broccoli / Stem Pumpkin + other squash Bell pepper / Bell pepper (not the hot ones) Cauliflower / Stem Carrot Coconut Grapes Kale / Kale Kiwi Lettuce Beans Lime Mango mushrooms (the common plecs and golden spots love mushrooms) let them float, they will catch up with you. Good exercise. Papaya Potato Pumpkin Spinach Sprouts Swedish Tomato Yam

Most vegetables can be eaten raw, but if you can’t find anyone interested, try blanching them. Don’t leave vegetables and fruits especially for too long, otherwise you may end up with water quality problems. The easiest method is to add them at night and remove them in the morning.

SUGGESTIONS FOR WEIGHING LAS VEGAS

Stainless steel spoon (push the spoon through the vegetable) Stainless steel fork (There have been suggestions that the plecs have been injured by the tips of the forks, use at your own risk) A rubber band / stone Clip for vegetables with a suction lid (fish stores usually sell these) Tornillocumber.
