Ever since man could walk, he traveled. At first, we traveled to escape harsh weather and find food, but as we evolved, we started traveling for fun. This is how tourist destinations and travel guides appeared. As time passed, more and more people began to travel to various places, for the scenery, the traditions, and the emotions.

Here are some travel spots that are sure to give you your thrills and kicks, something like one of the top four I guess, but don’t trust me, go see them for yourself!

1. Himalayas

The Himalayas, by far the largest mountain range in the world, have captured the imagination of philosophers, mystics, mountaineers and empire builders from the earliest ancestors of contemporary Hindus and Buddhists to the present day. Mount Kailash, home to the greatest of gods, and Meru, center of the Hindu and Buddhist universe, rise from the surrounding central Himalayan ranges. From high slopes to foothills, people have carved out an often meager existence in the harshest of environments with determination, subtlety and imagination enriched by powerful cultural identities. Indigenous peoples who often live at high altitudes have made a living in their harsh environment by trading on the world’s highest passes, while farmers have developed agriculture on the artificial terraces of the warmer valleys and hills and bottom of the southern mountain ranges. . Although the mountain environment gives a common character to the entire region, each farmhouse has its own identity. The villages on the arid high-altitude plateau of Ladakh could hardly be more different from the farms in the monsoon forests of Arunachal Pradesh.

2. Ascent to Kilimanjaro

Just three degrees south of the equator is Mount Kilimanjaro, at 5,895m (19,340ft), permanently covered in snow, the highest mountain in Africa. It offers one of the best opportunities in the world to scale a high peak without the need for technical climbing skills. Any fit and healthy person who is up for some physical exertion and exercise should be able to complete the ascent of Uhuru Peak, which involves approximately 70 kilometers of hiking in total, with no technical climbing.

3. Torres del Paine in Patagonia, Chile
Near the fjord area of Tierra del Fuego and the Beagle Channel, you can visit the famous Torres del Paine National Park at the southern end of the Patagonian Ice Cap. The area is easily accessible from Punta Arenas with bus, taxi and minibus transportation. It is possibly the most famous national park in South America with 60,000 visitors last season. It is located about 100 km north of Puerto Natales. In 2422 m2. km park was declared a World Heritage Site in 1978 by UNESCO.

It gets its name from three wonderful and very prominent columns of polished pink granite, the Torres del Paine (Towers of Paine).
Here you can go backpacking and trekking, or you can also join mountain climbing programs. The rhea and guanaco (animals similar to ostrich and alpaca) are frequently seen in the park’s refuge. There is a wide diversity of fauna and flora. Backpackers should have experience of overnight trips in rough terrain; those wishing to make ascents must have experience in ice and snow climbing.

4. Amboseli Safari

The Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular parks in Kenya due to the impressive view it shows of nearby Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world. When you go to Amboseli Safari, be sure to get the famous elephant photography with the unforgettable views of Kilimanjaro in the background!

Kilimanjaro’s streams emerge in the center of Amboseli, creating swamps that attract and support a rich diversity of wildlife and birds.
As Amboseli is easily accessible, it forms a popular part of many of our safari itineraries. Amboseli is one of the smaller game parks in Kenya and the greenery ensures that the animals are easy to spot. Lions can be easily found and can occasionally be seen stalking their prey.

Buffalo, zebra, giraffe, gazelle, and other plains animals abound in the park, and hippos live in open water and marshy waterways. The elephants here are surprisingly relaxed around the safari vehicles; They were largely unaffected by ivory poaching and have some of the largest tusks.

There is nothing better than an adventure travel experience, so pack your backpack and give it a try!
