Everyone wants to know how to lose pounds fast. Here are 5 ways to do it and lose weight fast. If you already follow a structured diet, you can add these simple tips to your existing diet and exercise plan. If not, I’ve included some ideas to lose a few pounds quickly.

  1. Eat more, not less: Most people do the opposite when trying to lose weight. Bad move. If you are only eating 2-3 meals per day or worse, switch it up to 3-4 smaller meals with 2 snacks throughout the day. What will this do? It makes your metabolism work harder and burn more calories. Eating less is a sure fire disaster and fat storage.
  2. Farewell drinks: Replace EVERYTHING you are currently drinking with water. You can have 1 cup of green per day, but that’s about it. Everything else is replaced with water. And I mean everything. Drink half your body weight in ounces.
  3. Eat slower: Sit down and eat your food MUCH slower. Almost everyone eats too fast because we are all on the go. As you eat slower, try to stop around the full eighty percent range.
  4. Sports: Find a sport or ANY physical activity that you wouldn’t mind doing for an hour a day. Most people sit in front of computers all day, then after a long day at work they eat and sit in front of the TV. This is not rocket science, you need some kind of activity. If you can pick something fun, you won’t even notice you’re working out.

If you’re not currently dieting or just getting started, but need to lose pounds quickly to get a head start, you may want to consider a detox diet. Yes, most of the weight will be water weight, but psychologically it can be a huge boost to get you on the right track.

Just remember to choose a diet that you actually LIKE to follow. Who cares if you can lose a million pounds in 1 month by following the new super duper diet. If you don’t, it doesn’t matter. Choose a diet that is consistent with your personality, food tastes, and schedule.
