To learn how to read tarot cards, you need to decide which tarot cards you want to use. Picture tarot cards are a good choice if you are just starting out, as the pictures are great guides and you can learn as you go. You need to familiarize yourself with the tarot cards. You must determine how you would interpret each card and focus on the material, spiritual, and emotional connotations of each card.

You want to interpret each card yourself before looking up the standard card meanings. This links your intuitive response to the card, which is what you will use when reading the tarot. The 78 tarot card can be divided into two groups, numbered 0 through 21, containing the 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana suits. Many beginners start with the Major Arcana cards. The Major Arcana cards include 0 – the Fool, which represents innocence, blinded by ignorance, and the novice. 1 is the Magician, which signifies skill, self-control, and taking charge. 2 – the high priestess represents wisdom, secrets, tenacity, intuition and mysteries. 3- The Empress represents goodness, health, mother, abundance and fertility. 4 – the emperor represents ambition, father, willpower, stability and benefactor. 5- the hierophant represents religion, mercy, marriage and good advice. 6-lovers stand out for love, beauty, tests passed, sexual union and emotional success.

7-the chariot represents providence, revenge, war and triumph. 8 – strength represents courage, success, strength and self-discipline. 9-the hermit represents betrayal, inertia, caution and prudence. 10 – wheel of fortune represents luck, abundance, destiny and the hand of destiny. 11 – Justice represents control, contract, balance, law and truth. 12 – the hanged man represents self-sacrifice, initiation, intuition, prophecy and wisdom in difficulties. 13 – death represents important and inevitable changes, a new but difficult beginning and the end of corruption.

14 – temperance means economy, moderation, wise advice and administration. 15 – the devil represents deceit, greed, jealousy, violence, anger and sexual passion. 16 – the tower represents ruin, recovery, catastrophe, adversity and calamity. 17 – the star represents expectations, goals, enlightenment and hope. 18 – the moon represents nightmares, dark forces, hidden fears and illusions. 19 – the sun represents joy, rebirth, happiness, success and freedom. 20 – the final judgment means result, final result, rebirth and an important decision. 21: The world represents assured success, long-distance travel, harmony, and successful completion.
