The normal body fat percentage for men is between 18 and 25%. The norm for women is 25 – 31% according to the American Council on Exercise. However, there is an obesity epidemic not only in the United States but throughout the world. The World Health Organization estimates that there are one billion overweight people in the world, of which 300 million are obese. This article aims to address some key things you need to do to maintain your normal body fat percentage.

The two main areas we will look at are nutrition and lifestyle.

Our sedentary lifestyles lead to weight gain. We sit in the car to go from one place to another. We sit at work all day and then we sit at home all night until we go to bed. It is absolutely essential to stop this practice now. One of the best ways is to start lifting weights.

Weight lifting has a number of benefits. It’s not strenuous like running or other cardio exercises, however, you’ll actually burn more calories by lifting weights. This is because muscle weighs more than fat and the more muscle you have, the more fat you will burn.

Unfortunately, most things that are available to eat in the modern age are bad for us. The vast majority of things you see in the supermarket have additives and preservatives that are not natural and have an unnatural effect on our bodies. The best thing you can do is try to stay away from as many of these things as possible by eating fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, lean beef, chicken, and fish.
