Plan a Klatch coffee for camaraderie and fun!

Recently a friend of mine released an impromptu coffee klatch which was the best time I have had in a long time. A café klatch is simply an informal social gathering for coffee and conversation. It’s been a reason for friends and family to get together for years, over delicious coffee and great conversations! I am planning to make a coffee klatch next month and have come up with some fun ideas.

First, I plan to have a variety of coffees to choose from, of course! I’m going to use my espresso machine, my one-cup Keurig coffee maker, and my favorite coffee container: the French press. I plan to have different coffee regions, as well as different roast levels. My idea of ​​the perfect party will include some light, medium and dark roast coffees so that everyone can have something that is delicious on the palate. I also plan to have very expensive roasts, such as Kona and Jamaican Blue Mountain, in limited quantities for all guests to sample.

To be served with all that delicious java, I am planning a good menu. I have decided to make a blueberry crumble cake, a variety of muffins, a couple of different quiches, fruits, cheeses, and a variety of brunch-style foods. I’m also going to serve candied bacon and other savory dishes to add depth to the palate. This should be the perfect companion to different rich coffee roasts and serve to fill your belly with more than just caffeine!

Another key factor for a good klatch is making sure everyone has something to talk about. Some good ideas would be to present a variety of hot topic books and magazines. Many people also enjoy playing a variety of games, so I intend to have a couple of chess games and check boards for those who wish to play with friends. Plus, having a variety of music makes for a great time.

The key to a great party is making sure everyone has something to do, eat and, of course, drink. Besides coffee, I also plan to have pitchers of iced tea and lemon water. Sometimes when trying different foods and fares, it is a good idea to serve other beverages in addition to coffee. That way everyone has something to drink and snack while enjoying good company, conversation, and games!
