Playstation 3 Wholesale – Accessories News

July 21, 2023 0 Comments

Wholesale PlayStation 3 accessories will appear in droves over the next six months as third-party developers try to capitalize on the likely popularity of the new console. This is how it will be charged. Earlier versions of this accessory were known as the Dual Shock 2, as the controller is a successor to the Dual Shock device, used as an accessory for the PlayStation 2.

Sony will also be selling a couple of other basic accessories. One is a PlayStation 3 memory card adapter. Armed with this, gamers will be able to connect their old PlayStation 2 memory cards to the new PlayStation 3. A remote control accessory, which works with Bluetooth, will allow you to control the PlayStation 3 disc player. Lazy gamers won’t even have to get out of bed.

But expect the most exciting developments to come from third parties. So far, not much to see. Logitech offers a Chill Stream controller for the PlayStation 3, essentially identical to the PS2 Chill Stream. Its launch is scheduled for November 22 and the price is set at about $40. On a more pragmatic note, Nyko plans to sell a cooling device for the PlayStation 3. It will bear the same name, ‘Intercooler’, as its Xbox 360 counterpart. But once the platform is established, the PlayStation 3 aftermarket is sure to take off. We will certainly see drive wheels, musical instruments for games like Guitar Hero, and wacky new toys that we can hardly predict.

One disappointment is the lack of support for legacy devices. The PlayStation 3 is not guaranteed to work with hardware additions to its forerunner, the PlayStation 2. That means many of us will be stuck with a closet full of accessories that we can’t use with the PlayStation 3. We can hope that third-party developers will find some way to unofficially link the old and the new, but don’t count on it. So, long story short, we’ll have to wait a few more months to see a truly impressive range of accessories to get PlayStation 3 wholesale. Sony’s message seems to be: get your console first, and only then start the search for PlayStation 3 accessories.
