The sexiest places in Ibiza (the pre-trip list)

April 4, 2022 0 Comments

This summer Kim and I are headed to Ibiza. Thanks to many friends, we have put together our “Ibiza Pre-Trip Checklist”.

This is literally the list that Kim and I will use while we are in Ibiza. This list can be amazing and it can suck. We never know until we get there. The sources we got this list from are super reliable and it’s probably going to be awesome. It’s more about snippets of different things to do in Ibiza.

For dinner, a great hotspot is the Jockey Club restaurant on Ses Salines beach (Las Salinas), which is actually a National Park. Most of the European celebrities, athletes, etc. will be hanging out here.

For the best seafood I would probably recommend La Casita. It is frequented by many Germans, but so is the whole island. It is almost an institution; Been there for over 30 years. The food is fresh and of good quality. And maybe if you are near San Antonio, you can stop at Riax Baixas. If you want something more cozy, romantic, with an atmosphere of soft music, visit Villa Mercedes. It really is one of the most “beautiful” establishments in the area.

If you want local food, go to Alfredo’s. Alfredo’s is probably one of the oldest on the island. It is where you would go to try Balearic and Ibizan food and wine. Doesn’t it bother you when people go to try the local cuisine and then complain that it’s weird or disgusting or that they don’t like what they’re used to? They have some regular Spanish dishes like paella and other local things like salt cod and other seafood dishes.

If you are in Ibiza town, eat at Restaurant s’Ametller. It’s cheap but good; a good value for what you get. La Brasa is also a very nice garden, private, good food, semi-traditional and semi-modern-Mediterranean.

Another place is El Ayoun. It’s Moroccan, very trendy but also very Mediterranean/North African chic. It’s definitely a ‘who’s who’ and it’s on one of those random inner roads that seclude many of Ibiza’s best restaurants, El Ayoun, after a short drive from the main town and a grand garden flanked entrance tropical and a double wide hand. carved gates that rise 10 feet. Inside, a grand illusion of embossed arched doors in the ceiling leads to a series of grand salons containing a champagne lounge, formal dining room and an expansive terrace that is one of the most formal in Ibiza. Like a Moroccan version of KM5 but with much better food; the space sometimes feels a bit over the top with its elaborate tables, chandeliers adorned with dazzling crystals, and gilt fireplaces that come in handy during the colder month. But on a hot summer night or a perfect full moon, few Ibiza restaurants offer as much of a wow factor even after all these years as El Aaiun.

El Lio Pascha’s open-air cabaret restaurant that is on the water and designed after a Japanese Robata grill. Reserve the second seat.

KM5 is one of Ibiza’s unique and glamorous party destinations. Located along a country lane off the highway to Saint Josef, you’re likely to miss it the first time. You’ll arrive at a bohemian party complex with sprawling marquees, marquees containing Moroccan-style lounges, and a central courtyard filled with poufs and cushioned sofa beds. Originally a local art gallery with rotating exhibits, KM5 eventually transformed into a trendy lounge and bar for hip locals and in-the-know visitors. Each year it features a new update that includes a gourmet restaurant with organic and sustainable cuisine and a small nightclub that roars with private parties and events from April to October. In the middle of it all is an open-air pavilion decorated with hammocks and cushions where casual conversations often end in hugs and kisses by 4am. Boho supper club and dance lounge in the center of Ibiza offers a modern summer alternative to the sweaty boom and bass of Ibiza’s famous nightclubs.

Las Dos Lunas or “two moons” is a lush oasis of bougainvillea and sweet-scented vines and has long been a no-go zone for photographers hoping to photograph Leonardo DiCaprio or Julia Roberts. The attraction is the magic of the place and the charismatic owner of the Italian fashion guru, Massimo Lucarini, who charms customers with compliments; Secluded, romantic and fantastic service and cuisine, from homemade bread and foccacia to chocolate mousse topped with fresh berries and homemade ice cream.

Located within the confines of Ibiza’s walls, El Olivo is an exception to the Ibizan rule of never eating at Dalt. One of the most elegant dining rooms on the island offers a cool white awning and an elegant terrace restaurant that is one of the most difficult reservations of the summer season. The L-shaped outdoor space occupies some of the walled city’s most prized real estate arranged in elegant wicker chairs and an always-sexy crowd of stylish visitors and locals. Inside, a much more intimate dining experience offers candlelight and romance rather than people-watching as a flirtatious staff works with the crowd for afternoon cocktails and late-dinner seating as if visiting friends from all over. life.

Owners Frederic and Pierrick oversee a Balearic menu of warm vegetable salads with wasabi dressing, charcuterie platter on warm bread and foie gras terrine stand out as an appetizer. The main course includes pasta with a traditional Spanish twist such as black rice with squid or salmon tagliatelle or lemon-braised rabbit meat and a choice of seafood such as fresh cod or Ibizan skate with caper butter sauce. Dalt’s elegant restaurant offers one of the rare gastronomic finds of the walled cities with a modern following that is perfect for a night on the town.

Bambuddah Groove is one of the hottest dining spots on the Ibiza scene: stylish guests, a relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful inland location. There is good quality Asian cuisine. Although El Ayoun is a bit cooler, we always like to go to Bambuddha Grove, preferably on Tuesdays or Fridays, when you can go to the nearby Aura after dinner.

For lunch, beach clubs like Blue Marlin are along a gravel country road; a caravan of well-groomed socialites and tattooed hotties make their summer pilgrimage to Jondal Beach’s Blue Marlin Beach Club. An equally attractive valet waved you off and ushered you into a long parking lot in front of an all-white, single-story beach club. Inside, a huge open-air lounge is arranged in sleek tufted leather sofas and armchairs with a Soho-meets-Bali vibe that engulfs an on-site beach shop and huge outdoor terrace overlooking the bay.

By day, Blue Marlin is all about the beach, opening around 10 a.m. for a late-breakfast crowd heading to several rows of reserved-only loungers where they undress to reveal perfectly chiseled, tanned bodies. The restaurant is not to be overlooked, equally convenient and delicious, the menu impresses with seafood and super model delicacies. At night, the space comes to life as an open-air lounge and nightclub with shirtless DJs spinning funky tunes and mixes until 6 a.m. during peak season.

Blue Marlin, one of the best beach clubs in the Mediterranean, offers an all-day destination to lounge, swim, eat and dance by the sea from 10am to sunrise. Be fit or at least dress to impress (casual and dressy beachwear), especially if you don’t have a reservation for a sun lounger.

Malibu Ibiza is located at the other end of Salinas beach, where a crystal clear Mediterranean gives way to mountainous trails, the Malibu Ibiza beach club is situated on a white sand beach with rows of sun loungers in sight. A crowd of athletic ball-throwing 20-somethings with trendy girls in frilly sundresses and ridiculously oversized hats along a beachfront promenade of gays in swimming trunks and topless sunbathers. The beach club is organized in a tiki-style pavilion of thatched-roof patios and open-air terraces with ocean views.
