Will it cure a yeast infection on its own?

Yeast infections are painful and just plain irritating – the itch from a yeast infection is enough to drive a person almost insane! The symptoms may temporarily go away for a few weeks or even months, but they won’t go away on their own.

This type of infection is not just limited to the vaginal or penile area, throat and mouth, and even other parts of your body can be affected by an untreated yeast infection. That is why if you suspect you have this infection, or have yeast symptoms for the first time, you should see your doctor to get a proper diagnosis.

The main symptoms of yeast infection of the genital areas include itching, redness, a burning sensation when urinating, or pain during sexual intercourse. The vaginal area may also develop a “cheesy” white discharge and odor that is very different from typical vaginal discharge. In men, the genital area may develop a rash or scaling, and even sores.

When it occurs in the mouth and throat, it mainly consists of white patches inside the mouth, on the tongue, in the throat/tonsil area, and burning or pain when swallowing. If these whitish areas that are infected are scratched, bleeding can occur. A yeast infection of the mouth can spread to the digestive tract, stomach, and even the rectal area.

There are many treatments available for yeast infections, over-the-counter remedies, herbal or all-natural remedies, or for severe cases, your doctor may prescribe antibiotics. The sooner you treat it, the sooner you will find relief!
