3 proven ways to display your Lego minifigures

April 2, 2021 0 Comments

LEGO minifigures are among the most popular and well-known toys in the world. Not only do most LEGO sets come with at least one figure that can interact with the game or the vehicle you’re going to build, the company has also been selling unique assortments of them in small, blindly packaged bags.

After the introduction of this concept, the whole minifigure idea exploded in popularity, and many toy collectors jumped on board to see what figures they could get their hands on. After several years, the series is still going strong, and minifigures that are exclusive to larger sets also remain a major selling point.

Let’s say you’ve been in the LEGO collecting game for a while.

It doesn’t take long before they start taking over a large amount of real estate in your home.

At some point, you will probably have to get a little creative with how you store them.

Unfortunately, many people are forced to start storing them in containers or drawers, but it is certainly more fun to take them out so that you can enjoy them and even pick them up from time to time.

With this in mind, the question arises: What are the best ways to display LEGO minifigures?

1 – Get some elevators

If you’ve been lining up your minifigures on the shelves until now, you’ve probably noticed that the ones in the back tend to get lost in the confusion. This is where shelf lifts can really come in handy. You can find many of these online or even create your own out of cardboard or Styrofoam. There are a lot of tutorials online, but they should be pretty self-explanatory. The basic concept is to create a ladder shape to place on your shelf, thus allowing you to see each figure.

2 – Create a diorama

Of course, it could be even more fun to set up all your figures in one giant diorama! There are no rules here. If you have one of the great playsets, like a castle or a space station, there’s no reason why all of your other minifigures can’t be included in the mix. You can also create your own backgrounds, again using materials like foam, cardboard, replacement sheets, and a little paint. Even if you’re just using the simple green build plate, posing each figure in a massive battle can be tremendously fun.

3 – Mount them on your board

If you have certain LEGO minifigures that you love so much that you would literally be willing to take them anywhere, why not do it legitimately by mounting some on the dash of your car? With some double-sided tape or even glue for the more daring, it should be easy to assemble any minifigure you like. Just be sure to use the brackets that come with the figures to protect them. Individual stands can be easily obtained online if required.

Minifigures have added a whole new dimension to Lego play and collecting. I myself enjoy creating dioramas that I photograph to share on social media. And without them, we wouldn’t have had the fun LEGO movie franchise. The tips in this article will help you get the most out of your own LEGO minifigure collection.
