Pluto holidays are a good time!

Pluto, Mickey Mouse’s beloved pet dog, has the best sense of smell of any Walt Disney character and is known for his loyalty and playful demeanor. With a dog like this, it’s no wonder it’s a popular theme for birthday parties.

Hosting a Pluto party can be fun and simple, and the basics can be found just about anywhere. Preprinted plates, cups, balloons, and napkins are available at many discount or party stores. Invitations can also be purchased online or at various party retail stores. You can also cut dog bones out of construction paper and glue on Pluto stickers for a simple and inexpensive invitation option.

There are so many decorating possibilities for a Pluto party. With the variety of Pluto pictures, posters, and figurines that so many people have in their own collection, there may be no need to buy decorations. Simply use what the guest of honor already has to add flavor to the room, or borrow from friends and family. And, of course, don’t forget Pluto’s owner, Mickey Mouse, and his friends, Donald Duck, Minnie and Goofy.

A fun game at any Pluto party would be to play “Search.” Have the birthday boy or girl dress up as Mickey Mouse by wearing his famous ears on top of his head. All the guests are Pluto and they are ready to go looking. Mickey takes turns throwing a tennis ball at all of the Plutos and if Pluto misses, they’re out. The last Pluto standing wins!
